Leadership & Philosophy for Kids
GATE young learners enhance self-esteem, respect others and learn to have positive and active
ways of thinking and a confident attitude as a future leader through Leadership Program.
They are encouraged to understand the definition of a leader through various kinds of in-class
activities and learn why a leader is important in a group and what to do to be a leader.
This program consists of two main programs : Philosophy for Kids and Basic Leadership Lessons based on Young

Leadership Program by Dale Carnegie.
Young learners get to adopt the concept of being a leader through six steps : What is Leader? / Recognition of Self-Leader / Self Control / Conversation Skill as a Leader / Human Relationship / Stress Management.

Are there times when you should be violent?
Will having fun make you happier than studying?
Should you criticize people or the opinions people have?
How do you know who your friends are?
Do you perceive things as they are or only as they seem to be?
Should you let little things bother you?

Philosophy for Kids supports each step of the Leadership Program with specified questions or examples so that young learners can easily link the abstract theory of leadership with detailed situations.
Through this program, young learners get to realize that being an important member of a team is as important as being a leader. They also understand that nobody can be perfect by himself /herself and doing things together and helping each other is the best thing to do.

Good Neighbors
GN program is oriented toward the family and the neighborhood, social relationships, and what might be called civic responsibilities. In GN class, children will learn basic rules and responsibilities as a member of a community and learn how to respect different perspectives and to solve problems.

Speech
Leadership Program during the first half of the school year is followed by Speech class during the second half of the school year . Based on what GATE young learners have learned during Leadership Program, Speech class provides them with the chances to study great global people¡¯s speech scripts with a historical background . Through this class, young learners get to meet various kinds of historical events all over the world. Every speech script was re-written into the appropriate level version for young learners, so that they can understand what it means easily.
After studying the speech script, future leaders at GATE have chances to write their own speech script and make a speech pretending to be in the time of the history.
Peer Activity
Every Friday morning, half of each class swaps with half of another class and children read a story to their partner to promote peer interaction and an environment where students benefit from each other.
