Thinking
Art
Thinking Art class is designed to increase student awareness
of the different kinds of art. Students will have a wide range
of experiences and a chance to appreciate the art around them.
In Thinking Art class, students won¡¯t only paint, draw and
color but most importantly express their individual ideas,
feelings and emotions through pieces of work. Art is a good
way to show something that is inside you visually, to the
outside world. Also they will learn that there is no wrong
way to do art.

Musical
Theater
In the Musical Theater Class, they will learn many songs from
American folk to old pop songs with rhythmical instruments.
Students will be trained to be confident on the stage
through group activities, drama games and through role playing.
Musical Theater class helps students increase their ability
to communicate verbally and physically,
to think imaginatively, feel and understand different
emotions, co-operate in groups and also to seek solutions.
All students will present a performance for GATE Musical Night
in December.

Cooking
As a part of art, children will not only make a yummy snack
but also express their fun ideas by creating their own recipes
and displays. It will be a great experience in terms of the
planning, making and tasting and can be shared with family
or friends.

Gym
This class is designed to help children BE children, but in
a more ¡°educated¡± type of way. They will learn how to use and
be one with their bodies as well as their minds. Children will
be learning through supervised ¡°playing¡± on how to control their
bodies. They will learn an important skill
such as hand-eye coordination, and they will also be
learning how to improve their natural reflexes. A key
tool in helping these children reach their potential will be
through the parachute. Through warming-up and cooling-down activities
done with the parachute, children learn how to work together
to accomplish a ¡°group¡± goal. They also learn how to follow
directions. The children are able to feel a sense of accomplishment
through this class. |
